a visit down memory lane.
today's a good day! im lovin' my off days more each time. haha. but that means i gta work for the rest of the week and no mid-week break anymore.

i woke up this morn to a call from my dearest girls. hah. some kinda morn call huh. so i dragged myself outta bed since im supposed to meet jean anw. friggin' tired from the night before, sigh.

okay, i warn you guys, what follows is a long acct of my day today. wna type out what i can rmb bec i wna look back one day and smile at it. so yeah, dont bother if you're lazy.

so both of us headed to school! (: haha. it felt different. i mean, to begin with, we are going in our home clothes, paying the damn adult fare to get to school :( , and there's no need to do all the stupid scanning, no lessons to rush to. hah. the malay security guard recognised only jean. haha. doesnt matter, as long as he let us in.

the school was painted a new colour.. banners all around for the 1st 3 mths stint, the j1s were getting ready to go for their CTG outing.. all gathered at the foyer. haha. of all days, today had to be the day. so we couldnt meet Mrs Teo cuz her j1 kids and her went dragon boating. haha! how cool is that.

we went into the teachers' office and saw Mr Spencer first (: it was great. haha. prior to meeting us, he was grumpy (comp not working, essays to mark.. blah blah). heh. like the security guard, he couldnt recognise me. just stared hard, gave up, and asked who i am. haha. as usual, he almost thought my name was Grace. then he said some of the sweetest stuff that i think i'd ever hear my whole life. haha. he said he couldnt recognise me cuz i have turned into a very fine lady. from him, it sounded so sincere and he had this huge genuine smile on his face as he said it. it felt as if, he saw us 'grow up'. yeah? haha. later on, he went on to say it's prob cuz we are all outta school now, and are finally proper human beings. haha! typical. chatted with him about our As (not my fav topic and the fact that he said we and the other classmates were stars that twinkle, had me feeling so so bad). it was then when i realised the teachers feel very responsible for our performance and like he said, if worrying for our own results is bad, think about them having to worry for 85 other students. jeanie came up with the insane idea of sitting in druing his tutorial. haha. so we did, at the same time, seeing janah, lynette, sarala.. yeah. haha. some things never change. he was holding a broomstick in one hand and then he changed to a floorball stick.

met Mr Sng after that. haha, he kindly treated us to drinks at the canteen. halfway through, Mr Sim (co-ct) joined in. the latter was more chatty than i have ever seen him to be. haha. it was great. just talked about jobs, school (and how it's still fund raising), results, the J1s.. yeah. i ate my wanton mee too! haha. the uncle was so cute la. he called me "xiao jie" (miss) instead of his usual Ah-Girl then he took another look at me, asked if i was a teacher or a student. heh. told him i graduated alr and he mentioned sth about blossoming. haha.

caught up with Ms Aminah finally at the office. she never fails to make me feel respect for her. haha. of all things, we actually talked abt her travelling experiences. and what the hell man, i can never be like her. travel alone as and when she likes, get stranded in an airport for 2 days, book another flight to fly elsewhere to Cambodia, Laos. hah. seriously! AND she loves phy geog, told us how she just asked the geog teachers about the climate these days. hahaha. so darn cute. PS: she hasnt lost her touch. the J1s who sauntered to her lect during the 1st week, just werent aware of her prowess yet. NOW, they run to her lectures alr. haha.

along the way we saw Mdm Aisha, Mrs Anzar too. the latter smiled at jean so brightly and stopped short when she saw me until Ms Aminah told her who i was. haha. that astonished look on her face was quite unforgettable. she couldnt recognise me (that's what she said) and then she continued gushing about how i've changed, prettier now.. when she was a student then, she didnt change that much after graduation too. heh. Spencer had to cheekily butt in and said, "whoever said you had changed anw?" haha. AGAIN, Spencer said i'm now "striking", to which Anzar agreed. it was just.. nice, to hear that. ahah, the chinese old man security guard said i've turned prettier. haha. it was that sense of familiarity that made me happy. like, he recognises us still.

the teachers, in general, seemed to be asking us to embrace our new phase in life now.. uncertainties, experiences.. so yeah. in some sense, im glad im trying new stuff, knowing more people (at the same time, still retaining my worthy friends)

after school, i headed to Tcc cine. haha. didnt wna head home too early while jean wants to watch her vcds -.-'' VERY coincidentally, a few metres away from the place, i met yan guang. hahah. he was actually there with his friend and planned to drop by to visit me but didnt see me in there. who knew, he got to see me in the end still. haha. it was good seeing him. later on, as i was drinking my free coffee, chatting with colleagues (who have never seen me in home clothes and thought i was a guest), i saw Fun and his gf. haha. they were also planning to say hi to me since they were gna catch a movie there. haha.

today's Life! had an article on how a platonic friendship and never exist b/w a man and a woman. hmm. my male colleagues were like, no! not true! haha. some food for thought huh?
